Who Is GHP?
The Gloucester Housing Partnership (GHP) was originally formed from the Samaritan Group and in 1992 was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We focus on making homes “warm, safe, dry, and accessible” for Gloucester County homeowners who are elderly, disabled, or of low-income — at no cost to the homeowner.
We receive referrals from the Gloucester County Department of Social Services, Healthy Families, Bay Aging, other community organizations, and from citizens of the County who are simply concerned about their neighbors.
GHPI is governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors who meet quarterly and an Executive Projects Committee who meet monthly to evaluate and assess the work of the organization.

GHP is also a member of the Gloucester Resource Council and on the board of the Northern Neck Middle Peninsula Housing Coalition (Local Planning Group in the Balance of State Continuum of Care). We regularly collaborate with the Samaritan Group and other community organizations.
GHP is always looking for individuals and businesses to assist us in meeting our mission. There is never just one way that you can give. You can advertise on our trailer, get on our volunteer list, be an annual contributor, contribute to certain projects, donate materials, take advantage of our Neighborhood Assistance Program (“NAP”) State tax credits. We always have something going on at GHP and you can always be involved!
